Foreign Minister delivers vaccines to Czech Republic

On Thursday, the foreign minister delivered a batch of 100,000 Pfizer Covid-19 vaccines that Hungary is lending to the Czech Republic.

Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, delivered a batch of 100,000 Pfizer Covid-19 vaccines that Hungary is lending to the Czech Republic to Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis on Thursday.

Answering a question from MTI, Minister Szijjártó said criticisms of Hungary’s decision to organize full-stadium Euro 2020 matches had been “politically motivated”. He said the warnings that full-stadium matches could lead to a new wave of the pandemic had come from those whose countries had a low vaccination rate. The minister said he was convinced that both the Hungarian and international fans had enjoyed their time at the matches, adding that concerns over the safety of the matches had proven unfounded.
