Government allocates HUF 230 billion for underdeveloped localities

The finance minister said the money is for building social housing, improving roads and healthcare.

Finance Minister Mihály Varga announced that the government is making HUF 230 billion (EUR 627m) of European Union and state funding available for projects in underdeveloped localities. The money is for building social housing, improving roads and healthcare. The aim is to create jobs, invigorate local economies and narrow the gap between the regions, the minister said.
