Following our story last month that revealed Hungarian-born security expert Sebastian Gorka was to join President Trump's team, his new position as deputy assistant to the president has been announced.
Gorka confirmed the news on his Facebook page. "I guess the radio silence is over. Congratulations to all who guessed right! And thank you so much for all your kind expressions of congratulations. As of January 20, 2017. I am working in the new Administration of President Donald J. Trump as a deputy assistant to the president. The United States IS the greatest nation on God’s Earth. Only in America. God Bless our new Commander-in-Chief. God Bless America!"
Gorka, a descendant of parents who escaped Communist Hungary during the 1956 Hungarian Revolution, has previously served as a national security expert for Fox News and news site Breitbart.
Gorka has in the past served as an advisor to Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and has also worked at the Hungarian Ministry of Defense.
Gorka holds a PhD in political science, has lectured at Georgetown University, and has served as an advisor to the US military and the Department of Defense.
