Hungarian government increases 2018 budget to help families, employment and security

The government will allocate an extra 1,000 billion HUF to this year's overall spend, which has been made possible by the country’s recent economic growth

The Hungarian government is turning its focus to families, work and security in the 2018 budget, according to Government Spokesperson Zoltán Kovács.

Kovács said that the aim of the new budget is to work for the good of the people, to reduce taxes and support pay rise programs.

The government will allocate an extra 1,000 billion HUF to this year's overall spend, which has been made possible by the country’s recent economic growth.

The spokesperson also highlighted how the government was on course to reach its one million new jobs target by introducing direct development programs and measures to promote employment. He added that 705,000 new jobs have already been created.
