Hungarian house prices increase by 7 percent year-on-year in Q3 of 2018

Hungarian house prices have increased by 7 percent year-on-year in the third quarter of 2018, it has been revealed.

According to fresh data released by Eurostat, Hungary's percentage rate increase is well over the 4.3 percent average seen across the entire European Union.

The Budapest Business Journal points out that although the pace of home price increases in Hungary is rapid, the Q3 figure was below the 10.6 percent and 11.4 percent year-on-year increases recorded in Q2 2018 and Q1 2018, respectively.

The figures also showed that In Q3 2018, house prices in the Czech Republic increased by 8.7 percent. Prices were up 6.5 percent in Poland, 4.4 percent in Slovakia, and 15.1 percent in Slovenia.
