Students from the Trade and Catering Vocational School and College in Szombathely received an unexpected surprise from the United Kingdom, a letter from Queen Elizabeth II.

Pupils from the English bilingual class had written several letters to the royal palace and their introductory letter was read to the Queen herself. The Queen’s lady-in-waiting sent a letter in reply extending Her Majesty’s best wishes for graduation day.

The students have been studying English language and civilization for four years, making the class a true fan of the royal family's life, country and history. The Queen receives an average of 300 letters a day from around the world, but only a select few are put before the Monarch.
