Péter Bergendy’s 2018 feature film Trezor has won the Best Screenplay category at the Parma International Music Film Festival.
Written by Norbert Köbli, the thriller chronicles the aftermath of the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. After the uprising, a secretary working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs discovers that the keys of a safe storing the most crucial documents has been stolen. Eventually, a man sentenced for bank robbery is given the task to open the door–but what he finds far exceeds the imagination of the officials.
Featuring Zsolt Anger, Péter Scherer and Bence Tasnádi, the movie was produced by the Szupermodern Studio, with the financial support of the Hungarian Media Mecenas Program.
Held in Parma, Italy between September 22nd and 29th, the Parma International Music Film Festival is an annual award ceremony recognizing exceptional talent in the film and music industry.
