Hungarians use the internet less regularly than others in the European Union, it has been revealed.
According to the European Commission’s 2018 DESI (Digital Economy and Society Index) report, Hungarians are behind the European average with regular internet usage and in digital skills.
Based on data collected from 2017, the EC report found that 76 percent of Hungarians use the internet regularly (at least once a week), while the EU28 average stands at 81 percent.
Although Hungary performed better than Poland, Romania and Italy overall, it still fell far short of the EU average.
