Hungary agrees with Croatia to mutually recognize immunity certificates

Talks with other neighboring countries are ongoing on the matter of accepting certificates.

The foreign minister has confirmed that Hungary has agreed with Croatia to mutually recognize immunity certificates allowing holders unrestricted travel between the two countries.

Under an agreement reached on Wednesday, “Hungarian nationals who have been vaccinated can travel to Croatia with no obligation to isolate or get tested,” Péter Szijjártó said. The technical details will be posted on the Hungarian Foreign Ministry’s Consular Service website during the week.

The minister said talks with other neighboring countries are ongoing on the matter of accepting certificates. The first neighbor Hungary agreed with on mutually recognizing immunity certificates was Serbia last week.
