Hungary's new ambassador to the Untied States has made his first appearance at the AmCham event, it has been revealed.
László Szabó was joined by Chargé d’Affaires David J. Kostelancik as they opened the discussions at the annual forum.
During his speech, Szabó said that as ambassador his main duty will be to show how Hungary can be attractive, and demonstrate what Hungary can offer to US companies.
The ambassador said that the diversification of energy sources is a top priority for Hungary and if the liquid natural gas (LNG) terminals are finally constructed in Croatia then Hungary would welcome US gas.
“If this will be the only thing we achieve in the next 4 years, I’ll already be satisfied," the ambassador said.
