Hungary's passport is one of the most powerful in Europe allowing its citizens an exceptional level of access worldwide, a new report has found.
The Passport Index states that Hungary has obtained a visa-free score of 163 - ahead of Cyprus, Malta and Bulgaria.
Hungary has now joined the world's fourth most powerful ranking passports, alongside Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Belgium and Austria.
The Hungarian passport has been building from strength-to-strength after securing visa waivers from Angola, Australia, Azerbaijan, Benin, Ethiopia, Lesotho, Myanmar, Rwanda, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.
"It's a great positive development for all current and future Hungarian citizens in terms of improved mobility and global freedom," said Armand Arton, founder and president of Arton Capital, the Canadian firm behind the report.
