Hungary's PPI rises year-on-year

In January-November 2018, industrial producer prices grew by an annual 5.5 percent as domestic prices climbed by 6 percent and export prices were up 5.3 percent

The Central Statistical Office (KSH) has announced that industrial producer prices rose by 5.1 percent in November from the same month a year earlier.

Figures show that prices for domestic sales were up 6.7 percent while export prices increased by 4.3 percent. In a month-on-month comparison, industrial producer prices were down 0.2 percent as domestic prices fell by 0.4 percent and export prices were 0.2 percent lower.

The year on year numbers show that factory gate prices in the manufacturing sector rose by 4.2 percent in October. In a month-on-month comparison, producer prices in the same sector were down 0.3 percent.

Finally, in January-November 2018, industrial producer prices grew by an annual 5.5 percent as domestic prices climbed by 6 percent and export prices were up 5.3 percent.
