Hungary’s “skateboarding priest” has inaugurated a new skateboard park in Redics alongside Minister of State for Family, Youth and International Affairs Katalin Novák.
Reverend Zoltán Lendvai, a Roman Catholic priest, became an Internet sensation after it was revealed he spreads God's word from a skateboard.
"Many times I have felt that this is the way I can bring many people a bit closer to Jesus," Father Lendvai told the Reuters news agency.
According to a report by the BBC, three teenage boys who had never attended church started coming regularly after he showed off his skateboard tricks.
Father Lendvai lives and preaches in Redics, a small village on Hungary's border with Slovenia.
The new skateboard park is meant to encourage a community spirit, promote Christian family values but most importantly to be enjoyed by locals.
