Hungary’s unemployment rate has fallen by 1.3 percent in the latest quarterly figures, it has been revealed.
According to the Central Statistical Office (KSH), Hungary's rolling average three-month jobless rate reached 4.6 percent in February-April.
The jobless rate of 15-74-year-old unemployed men decreased by 1.3 percentage points to 4.3 percent, while the figure for women in the same age bracket dropped by 1.1 percentage points to 4.9 percent. The unemployment rate of those aged between 25–54 decreased by 1.1 percentage points to 4.1 percent.
According to KSH, the average number of employed people in Hungary is currently 4.378 million, 84,000 more than this time last year.
