John Malkovich to star in the Budapest Photo Festival 2018

John Malkovich’s legendary photo series will finally come to Budapest for the exhibition which opens on February 28th

Hollywood actor John Malkovich will become the star of the Budapest Photo Festival to be held in Hungary this month.

Malkovich’s legendary photo series will finally come to Budapest for the exhibition which opens on February 28th.

The collections is a collaboration between world-famous American photographer Sandro Miller and John Malkovich, titled Malkovich Malkovich Malkovich: Homage to Photographic Masters.

The photographer came up with the idea of recreating historic photographs that helped shaped the actor’s career and the project began in 2013.

"John is the most brilliant, prolific person I know. His genius is unparalleled. I can suggest a mood or an idea and within moments, he literally morphs into the character right in front of my eyes,” Miller said.

The exhibition also includes Irving Penn’s photograph of Truman Capote in a corner; Bert Stern’s photos of Marilyn Monroe; Dorothea Lange’s image of a migrant mother; Annie Leibovitz’s iconic image of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, and many more.
