Polish airline LOT launched its first Budapest to Seoul flight on Sunday afternoon.
With an expected flight time of 10 hours and 30 minutes, the new route marks a breakthrough for Polish-Hungarian trade relations.
“This is the first time LOT has initiated a flight between Hungary and East Asia, involving the help of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the respective countries. The flight is expected to boost cultural exchanges and international trade,” said LOT CEO Rafal Milczarski.
For the initial period, three flights per week will run between Seoul and Budapest, a number that’s expected to increase to six-seven dependent on consumer demand.
