MOL Group to build Budapest's first skyscraper

More than 2,000 MOL workers currently positioned in 11 buildings in five districts, will be placed at the new base upon its completion in 2020

Plans have been drawn up for MOL Group to deliver Budapest’s first skyscraper.

According to hvg.hu, the building will be situated at the Kopaszi dam and will become the oil and gas giant’s new headquarters, titled MOL Campus.

Zsolt Hernádi, the president-managing director of the company, said he thinks that the office building will be “very cool” and that they want to have the best headquarters on a regional level. “It was a compromise for us that we had to work in an office that was built fifty years ago, now we want to create the new headquarters without compromises,” he added.

The company commissioned Finta Studio, the Hungarian partner of one of the world’s most illustrious architectural companies, Foster + Partners, to design the project.
