The national public health center (NNK) has confirmed that the new Omicron variant of Covid-19 has not yet been detected in available samples in Hungary. The mno.hu website said it had contacted NNK for information after reports on the Omicron variant from countries in Hungary’s “direct neighborhood”, such as Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany and Italy.
