According to the national police headquarters (ORFK), 6,314 people crossed into Hungary directly from Ukraine on Monday, while another 4,097 from Ukraine crossed from Romania. Police issued temporary residence permits valid for 30 days to 218 people. Holders of such permits must contact a local immigration office near their place of residence within 30 days to apply for permanent documents. Budapest police received 227 refugees, 80 children among them, arriving by train.
