According to the national police headquarters (ORFK), 7,038 people crossed into Hungary directly from Ukraine on Wednesday, while another 5,046 from Ukraine crossed from Romania. Police issued temporary residence permits valid for 30 days to 321 people. Holders of such permits must contact a local immigration office near their place of residence within 30 days to apply for permanent documents. Budapest police received 389 refugees, 124 children among them, arriving by train.
