According to the national police headquarters (ORFK), 4,954 people crossed into Hungary directly from Ukraine on Monday, while another 4,450 from Ukraine crossed from Romania. Police issued temporary residence permits valid for 30 days to 243 people. Holders of such permits must contact a local immigration office near their place of residence within 30 days to apply for a permanent document. Budapest police received 82 refugees, 28 children among them, arriving by train.
