Hungary’s Parliament will start a two-week sitting today, the first of the autumn session.
According to MTI, lawmakers will begin the autumn session honoring the memories of five recently deceased former MPs.
Also on the agenda for Monday is a debate followed by a decision on a suspension of immunity for Democratic Coalition (DK) MP László Varju. Varju is charged with bribing an independent candidate to step down ahead of the 2018 general election and endorse him. The independent candidate is said to have refused the bribe.
On Tuesday, lawmakers will debate a bill that would give Hungarians residing as tenants in homes earlier purchased after foreclosure by the National Asset Management Agency (NET) another chance to buy back their residences at a discounted price.
MPs will take a break on Wednesday for the October 23rd national holiday but return on Thursday to debate the closing of the 2018 budget. The sitting will end on Monday, October 28th, allowing time for questions and answers.
