Pink and Wiz Khalifa get the Sziget Festival off to a good start

Tonight will see Kasabian and PJ Harvey take to the stage, and over the weekend Iggy Azalea and Hurts will play to the crowds

The Sziget Festival is well underway following performances by Pink on Wednesday night and Wiz Khalifa on Thursday. Tonight will see Kasabian and PJ Harvey take to the stage, and over the weekend Iggy Azalea and Hurts will play to the crowds.

Sziget is Hungary's largest tourist attraction. More than 1,000 acts will take part in the festival this year, between August 9 and 16, which has grown from a relatively small concert into one of the world's largest festivals in just 25 years.

Argentinian-Spanish and French street theater troupes will also feature and the Cirque du Sziget tent will be expanded to a capacity of 1,000.

Festival CEO Tamás Kádár said the 25th Sziget would continue to promote freedom, diversity, tolerance and inclusion. He promised even more colorful visuals than in the past and an increased focus on environmental protection.
