Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has held consultations with the leaders of the National Technical Management Board (OMIT) on the flooding caused by days of heavy rainfall in Hungary in recent days. PM Orbán was briefed on the work carried out so far and the next steps to be taken by the protection body of the national water management directorate (OVF). They concluded that the flood protection developments undertaken in recent years “have passed the test” and flood protection professionals were “standing their ground and are capable of protecting people and their property from the floods”.
