Bomb threats disrupt over 240 schools across Hungary

More than 240 schools across Hungary, including at least 20 in Budapest, received bomb threats this morning, prompting emergency evacuations and responses across the country.

Hungarian police confirmed that identical emails were sent to multiple institutions, leading to the authorities' launch of a nationwide investigation.

According to police, all affected institutions have been secured with a police presence. So far, no explosives or devices capable of detonation have been found during inspections.

Today's events resemble a series of threats made last year against schools and institutions in neighboring countries, raising concerns about possible connections between the incidents.
