PM Orbán meets former Australian PM to discuss migration and border protection

PM Orbán and Abbott agreed that Europe should follow the Australian and Hungarian practice of border control if it is serious about protecting its own citizens.

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán met with former Australian PM Tony Abbott in Budapest on Thursday to discuss migration and border protection.

According to MTI, both agreed that every country had the right to determine whom they allow to enter its territory and with what conditions.

PM Orbán and Abbott agreed that Europe should follow the Australian and Hungarian practice of border control if it is serious about protecting its own citizens.

Abbott is in Hungary to attend the third Budapest Demographic Summit.
