Prime Minister Viktor Orbán met with Botond Barna Bíró, the head of the council of Romania's natural disaster-hit Harghita County, in Budapest on Wednesday.
In a video posted on PM Orbán's Facebook page, the prime minister asked Bíró for an evaluation of the situation at the flooded Praid (Parajd) salt mine and a list of things Hungary could provide for assistance.
"Everybody thinks that a part of the Hungarian world is in danger ... in mortal danger," PM Orbán said.
Bíró said the livelihood of the whole Praid community was in jeopardy, adding it was "a great thing" that "problems impacting the Hungarian nation could be discussed in Budapest on the Day of National Cohesion."
