PM Orbán meets leaders of North Macedonia’s VMRO to discuss EU accession talks

The migration crisis at the Turkey-Greece border was also discussed, as well as political challenges facing the European People’s Party, of which both Fidesz and VMRO are members.

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has met with leaders of North Macedonia’s VMRO, Fidesz’s sister party.

According to MTI, VMRO chairman Hristijan Mickoski and deputy leader Aleksandar Nikoloski briefed PM Orbán on North Macedonia’s election campaign.

The VMRO officials also asked PM Orbán to press the European Union to start accession talks with North Macedonia as soon as possible.
