On his way to meet French President Emmanuel Macron for talks in Paris on Wednesday, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said that he wanted to "receive answers on why the French and the pro-war stance makes sense".
Asked by a reporter what he expected from the meeting with Macron, PM Orbán noted "a fundamental change in that the US earlier was on the side of war but has now come over to the side of peace".
"I would like to know that, seeing as the warring parties have failed to defeat Russia and help Ukraine to victory in three years with the US in the pro-war corner, why they think they can win this war now that the US is not there and so the pro-war camp is a lot weaker?", PM Orbán said.
