Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said on Facebook on Wednesday that the Ukrainians are ramping up their attacks on Hungary because we have prevented Ukraine’s European Union accession in Brussels.
"The Ukrainians must understand that it is for fundamental and strategic reasons that Hungary does not support giving EU membership to Ukraine," PM Orbán said. "We don’t want war, and we don’t want them to ruin the European economy, and with it the Hungarian economy.
"Kyiv must accept that they are not the ones who get to decide what the Hungarian people should think," the prime minister added.
