Polish airline LOT will launch new flights from Budapest to Seoul this week and to another four European destinations next summer.

CEO Rafal Milczarski has announced that Seoul will be served by three flights a week (Tuesday, Friday, Sunday with return flights on Wednesday, Saturday and Monday) with the other additional destinations to be gradually brought in - Prague, Belgrade, Sofia and Stuttgart.

According to Rmx.news, Milczarski said at the launch event that LOT intends to make Budapest its second European hub (after Warsaw). LOT has, however, delayed the introduction of its planned new destination Brussels and Bucharest due to a flight ban on Boeing 737 Max airplanes in the wake of a crash of one in Ethiopia in March.
