President Áder: Hungary to forge closer ties with US

Hungarians and Americans are linked by a long history of friendship and the two countries are close allies with a shared interest in further strengthening transatlantic cooperation

Hungarian President Janos Ader sent his best wishes to Barack Obama and the people of the United States while celebrating their 4th of July festivities yesterday, it has been revealed.

In a letter sent to the US President, Ader highlighted that Hungary is ready to deepen its partnership with the United States in all areas,

Americans can always rely on Hungary when it comes to defending the two countries’ common values and facing new challenges, he wrote.

Hungarians and Americans are linked by a long history of friendship and the two countries are close allies with a shared interest in further strengthening transatlantic cooperation, the letter said.

Both counties, he continued, have much to gain from expanding bilateral trade and intensifying business connections, adding that Hungarians truly appreciate the commitment of Americans to the ideals of liberty, the freedom of thought and speech, as well as the crucial role of the US in the struggle against tyranny, oppression and dictatorship.

Hungarians are also aware of the vital contribution made by Americans to protecting peace and security, as well as fighting violent extremism.
