The Red Bull Air Race World Championship is returning to Budapest for the tenth time this weekend, July 1 and 2.
The pilots will battle it out for the championships by flying up and down the Danube between Parliament and Margaret bridge in timed laps. Spectators are hoping for a hot weekend this year after rain called off much of the show last time.
Hungary's very own Péter Besenyei will also be there cheering along from the sidelines and will be taking part in a side act event on Saturday.
Besenyei won the very first race, and the first season title, in 2003, and he was a pioneering force in developing the sport before retiring from the World Championship at the end of 2015. He’ll be on hand along with thousands of spectators lining both sides of the Danube over the weekend.
