Hungary's minister of State for Government Communication has said that that the social consultation regarding the Stop Soros legislative package is currently under way and its revocation is out of the question.
Bence Tuzson said that the government would like members of the public in the largest possible numbers to state their views because this would help improve the final version of the package.
He said that they will summarise the different opinions and will present a summary proposal to the government next week. They wish to submit the bill to Parliament before the start of its spring session, he added.
He stressed that migration must be stopped, and organisations that support or organise migration must be restrained.
The minister said that typically organisations funded by George Soros demand the revocation of the proposal, including the Menedék Hungarian Association for Migrants, Transparency International and the Hungarian Helsinki Committee.
Tuzson stressed that as part of the social debate on the proposed bill the cabinet has received more than six hundred recommendations, most of which support the package or propose the tightening of the contemplated regulations.
