Hungary has finished 12th on the Olympic medal table after securing eight gold medals, three silver and four bronze during Rio 2016.
Hungary's eighth Olympic gold was picked up by the women's four Kayak team over the weekend when they bagged first place in the 500m sprint race.
The Hungarian star of this year's Olympic Games was undoubtedly Katinka Hosszú who picked up three individual golds in swimming event, which helped Hungary finish in a highly respectable 12th place. Danuta Kozák also picked up three gold medals in the kayak-canoe events, securing an individual gold, the pairs win and also the team gold over the weekend.
