Hungary has finished in a respectable 46th place on the Paralympic Games medal table after scooping one gold, eight silver and nine gld medals.

The Hungarian team bagged 18 medals in total, with Tamás Tóth winning gold in the 100m backstroke swimming race deemed the highlight of the games.

In terms of the overall number of medals won so far, as opposed to the gold count, Hungary is ranked in the top 20 of the 162 nations, because only 18 countries collected more medals than Hungary in total.

Hungary's success in the Paralympic Games coupled with the summer Olympic team success should leave Hungary in a strong position when it comes to securing their bid for the 2024 Olympics.
