Sebastian Coe was elected World Athletics (WA) President for another four-year term at the World Athletics Congress in Budapest on Thursday. He has been the organization’s head since 2015 and he was the only candidate at the congress held ahead of the World Athletics Championships starting on Saturday. Coe told public television on Thursday that “the local organizing committee [of the championships] is doing an excellent job”. “This is one of the best local organizing committees we have ever worked with,” he said. “They are very cooperative, hard-working and ambitious,” he added.
