State Secretary: Fighting against lies and distortions “is an everyday task”

Zoltán Kovács said that unless the fight against lies was waged each day, conservatives would lose the narrative to liberals.

Zoltán Kovács, the state secretary for international relations and communications, told participants of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Budapest that fighting against lies and distortions “is an everyday task”. According to MTI, Kovács said that unless the fight against lies was waged each day, conservatives would lose the narrative to liberals. Referring to his podcast The Bold Truth About Hungary, he said he and his guests always meant what they said and spoke freely, and the podcast was his way of providing a conservative antidote to the “progressive virus”. Meanwhile, Kovács said Pope Francis, during his recent visit to Hungary, had given one of his most important speeches about family tradition and values, adding that “everyone should read” the speeches of the pontiff.
