State Secretary: Hungary will work to set up a European cardiovascular strategy

During its European Union presidency starting on July 1, Hungary will work to set up a European cardiovascular strategy, Péter Takács, the state secretary for health care said at the inauguration of a hybrid operating room at the Cardiology and Heart Surgery Clinic of the Debrecen University, in eastern Hungary. Takács praised Debrecen’s outpatient care, saying it set an example for reforms nationwide. The university, which took part in the government-backed reform, is supported by the government and the municipality alike, he said.
