The Great Gatsby premieres at the Vígszínház

The characters of the world-famous novel will come to life on the comedy stage at the renowned theater.

 

The Vigszínház in Budapest will premiere The Great Gatsby on October 3 at 2:30 p.m. with English subtitles projected on a wall.

The characters of the world-famous novel will come to life on the comedy stage at the renowned theater. The novel was adapted by young Hungarian talents from the Budapest arts scene.

The Great Gatsby written by F. Scott Fitzgerald is set in New York during the “Roaring Twenties.” The main character Jay Gatsby is a self-made millionaire who is in pursuit of his long lost love from his youth Daisy Buchanan. The performance features József Wunderlich as Jay Gatsby and Andrea Waskovics as Daisy Buchanan.

Vigszínház is one of the oldest operating theaters in Budapest. In October, the theater is also playing The Paul Street Boys, Magician Miska, Visit of the old lady, Mr. Doctor, The attic, and The Great Gatsby. Tickets can be purchased here.
