Turnout remains on record-breaking trajectory: 63.21 percent by 5 p.m.

According to National Election Office reports nearly two-thirds of eligible voters have already cast their ballots.

Election turnout by 5 p.m. already reached 63.21 percent setting another record in Hungary’s democratic history. 

Meanwhile, Vas county took over second place from Pest with a turnout of 66.71 percent. On the other end of the scale stands Hajdú-Bihar county, where 58.86 percent of Hungarians went to the polling stations by 5 p.m.

By this time four and eight years ago, the participation rate stood at 56.77 and 59.28 percent, respectively.
