U.S. Ambassador Colleen Bell delivered a speech behind closed doors last week before the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Hungarian Parliament, it has been revealed.
The closed session took place on Friday and her appearance before the Committee was not announced publicly beforehand; however, the ambassador’s remarks have since been posted on the U.S. Embassy’s website.
The ambassador touched on some sensitive subjects within her speech, saying that as long as Assad remains in power he will be a "magnet" for foreign fighters and ISIS recruits.
The former television producer continued with her address where she touched on the subjects of migration and urged Russia to restore Ukraine's sovereignty.
