What a weekend! Hungary has well and truly welcomed in the winter with plunging temperatures reaching -4 in some parts of the country.
Weather forecasts show that the cold weather will remain across the country this week, but will thankfully relent toward the weekend.
Today will become extremely cloudy, with a strong chance of rain in most parts of the country. Sleet will be seen in the North and the cold weather will persist throughout the day and into the evening. The temperature tonight will be between -3 and +3 degree Celsius.
Tomorrow will see slightly warmer weather, between 8 and 13 degrees with some sun shining through. Rain can be expected in the morning, and the wind may pick up throughout the day. The temperature during the night will settle between 0 and +6 degree Celsius.
Wednesday will see another drop in temperature but some sunshine will peek its way through the clouds. The temperatures during the day will hover between 5 and 10 degrees, while in the evening they will plunge between -4 and 2 degrees Celsius.
Thursday will see rain in most parts of the country, and there will be strong winds. The temperature during the day will be between 5 and 11 degrees, while at night plunging between -1 and +6 degree Celsius.
Temperatures on Friday and throughout the weekend are expected to remain constant. The day will see temperatures remain between 5 and 11 degrees, while the nighttime will see the mercury drop to between-1 and +5 degree Celsius.
A White Christmas is expected this year, so fingers crossed!
