Prime Minister Orbán and former Minister President Teufel – who served in that role in the state of Baden-Württemberg between 1991 and 2005 – were co-founders of Andrássy University Budapest. At their meeting they agreed that in order to turn Europe into a continent which cherishes its culture and its Christian roots and which is also competitive, there is a need not for European institutions, but for credible European leaders.
Yesterday, PM Orbán held talks with Dieter Zetsche, the chairman of Daimler AG, at the recently renovated Hungarian Consulate General in Stuttgart and later addressed a forum of around 250 business leaders from the Foundation for Family Businesses on Hungary’s economic success story at the headquarters of the Stuttgart-based company Dekra.
Later today, PM Orbán will meet former Chancellor of Germany Helmut Kohl in his home, then visit the Konrad Adenauer memorial house in Bonn and meet Timotheus Hötges, the CEO of Deutsche Telekom.
