Prime Minister Viktor Orbán is today travelling to Turkey to attend a Hungarian-Turkish cabinet meeting, an inter-governmental summit, it has been revealed.
According to government sources, the prime minister is heading to Ankara to take part in a high-level strategic council meeting together with his ministers. This is the third inter-governmental meeting of its kind, the press office announced.
The prime minister will be joined by Deputy Prime Minister Zsolt Semjén, Péter Szijjártó, minister of Foreign Affaris and Trade, Mihály Varga, minister for National Economy, Zoltán Balog, minister of Human Capacities, Sándor Fazekas, minister of Agriculture, István Simicskó, minister of Defence and Miklós Seszták, minister for National Development.
The Turkish summit team will also include Károly Kontrát, deputy minister of Interior, and a delegation of 72 Hungarian businesspeople.
According to the government press office, PM Orbán will also be holding talks with his Turkish counterpart Binali Yildirim, after which they will be participating in the Hungarian-Turkish Business Forum.
PM Orbán will also be received by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Speaker of Parliament Ismail Kahraman, it has been announced.
