Facebook statement by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán

After Kyiv and Moscow, now I’m reporting from Beijing, the third stop on the peace mission.  My meeting with President Xi Jinping has just finished. In war, of course, the warring parties have the final say, but a decisive influence belongs to three world powers: China, the United States and the European Union. They will also influence when this war comes to an end. This is why, after my meetings with the warring parties, I’ve come here to Beijing. President Xi and I have discussed the Chinese peace plan. China is the only world power that’s been unequivocally committed to peace from the outset. This is important for Hungary and important for the whole European Union. Today President Xi made it clear that he’ll continue his efforts to build peace. We are not alone. We, too, shall continue our work.
