Today there will be three battles. The Ukrainian president will be here to present his victory plan. We heard what he said in the Ukrainian parliament yesterday. It’s more than frightening. We must enact change! But what I was thinking of wasn’t more war and more dangerous weapons and long-range weapons, but a change from a strategy of war to a strategy of peace: a ceasefire and peace negotiations. And then there will be a migration battle. Many of us want to change the migration rules. Punishing Hungary for defending the borders of the EU is unacceptable. More and more countries are saying that there’s a migration crisis, and that we need to enact change. Then there will be an afternoon battle, in which they want to pass economic measures that will ruin Hungarian families: tax increases, abolition of the reductions in household utility bills, transformation of the pension system, abolition of the thirteenth month’s pension. So the EU will be presenting Hungary with a lot of demands. I must reject these, and I must defend the most important elements of the current economic policy, the elements that protect families.
