We have more good news: on 12 February a double pension payment will be transferred to the bank accounts of all pensioners. This is because in February, alongside the normal pension payment, the thirteenth month’s pension is being delivered. This is a great thing, an achievement that, day by day, all players in the Hungarian economy have been working for. Of course there are also opponents – Brussels bureaucrats, Hungarian economists, members of the opposition – who would like to abolish the thirteenth month’s pension. But back in 2010 we set out to build a country in which our elderly compatriots are valued. The thirteenth month’s pension isn’t just about money; it’s also about respect. As long as we’re at the helm, everyone can rest assured that the thirteenth month’s pension will be delivered.
