Facebook statement by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán

Yesterday the European People’s Party held a congress in Valencia. I have its most important resolution here in my hand. In essence the European People’s Party runs the European Union, providing the EU’s main bureaucrats. Yesterday they decided that more arms and more money should be sent to Ukraine and, as they say, to give Ukraine accelerated membership of the European Union. While the United States is negotiating peace, they’re coming up from behind to try and stop it. What’s more, the European Union’s economy is suffering. Instead of spending the money on the people of Europe and the European economy, they want to send it to Ukraine. This is why it’s also important for everyone to vote in [the consultative referendum] VOKS2025, so that this definitely doesn’t happen, and so that the Hungarians’ money cannot be sent to Ukraine.
