Facebook statement by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán

23 June 2025, Budapest

We’re in Budapest, at the site where the ballot papers for Voks2025 [consultative vote on the proposal to admit Ukraine to the EU] are being gathered together. Our colleagues have been working all weekend, and I thank them. Ballot papers will also be arriving tomorrow, and will be notarised. We’ll be able to publish the results in the second half of this week. I can already report that the number of paper ballots received has passed the 2 million mark: currently 2.13 million, to be precise. Added to this will be nearly a quarter of a million online votes. We can all be proud of this. Thank you to everyone who has taken part in the vote.
